- Assessing your medical and dental history
- Clarifying your concerns, wants and expectations and/or problems
- Oral health examination
- Tooth examination to check for decay, wear, cavitation, cracks, etc. Photographs if required to evaluate esthetics and condition of teeth and gums (diagnosis)
- X-rays as required (RVG /digital x-rays to assure you quality images and minimum exposure)
- Condition of your gum tissue and any hidden gum disease
- State of old fillings, crowns, bridges root canals
- Mobility or looseness, another sign of problems
- Temporomandibular joint examination to check for any pain / clicks
- Treatment plan to be executed in brief if long treatments required.
- Review all findings
- Discuss your treatment recommendations and sequence
- Discuss any specialty treatment / specialist consultations required
